Tara Pullano brings years of legal experience to Brotman Law and a passion for helping clients with their matters. In her role as Associate Attorney, Tara assists clients with assessing how governmental orders impacted their business during the qualifying periods of the Employee Retention Tax Credit. As part of the ERTC team, Tara works with businesses large and small to ensure they file properly for the tax credit, meeting necessary requirements to protect themselves.
Tara received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Arizona, eventually earning her Paralegal certification from Pima Community College. In the time between these two educational opportunities, Tara served two terms in AmeriCorps working at a small non-profit that helps newly resettled refugees integrate into America while fighting food waste. In addition to recruiting, supervising, and coordinating volunteer efforts, Tara developed an inventory system to better track donations of all kinds and assisted the organization in obtaining five grants.
Tara went on to obtain her law degree from the Chicago-Kent College of Law. While she was there, Tara was active in several student groups and played an integral role working in disability advocacy as a part of the Disability Advocacy Law Student Association. Tara worked to improve conditions and access to accommodations for disabled law students. She was awarded the Excellence in Diversity award by the law school’s student bar association for her three years of disability advocacy work. In the future, Tara wants to continue to work to make the law profession more welcoming to people with disabilities and more accessible for everyone in general.
She is excited to be a part of the Brotman Law team, allowing her to grow and learn all the nuances of tax law. The complex and challenging nature of the field always keeps Tara on her toes and she enjoys working on legal solutions for clients.
In her spare time, Tara loves spending time in the outdoors, whether wandering through nature and taking pictures of interesting things or gardening and growing her own food as much as she can in the Windy City.
