Peter Tran received his Bachelor’s degree in finance from San Jose State University, after which he earned his JD from Santa Clara University School of Law. Throughout his undergraduate career, Peter was a legal case assistant for the Habeas Corpus Resource Center and went on to serve as a summer judicial extern for Justice Nathan D. Mihara in California Appellate Court. Peter was awarded the Witkin Award for Academic Excellence in Jury Law and Strategies as well as in Legal Issues of Startup Business.
Pursuing his passion for the law, Peter joined PwC in Los Angeles after law school. Over the course of four and a half years working with the firm, Peter focused on the ins-and-outs of state and local tax law. As a senior associate, he was actively involved in ensuring that all clients and their tax matters were handled professionally, quickly and with precision.
After his time at PwC, Peter worked at Deloitte for two and a half years as a senior associate and then M&A tax manager. In his role, he assisted clients undergoing business mergers and acquisitions with navigating the intricate tax laws to a beneficial end. Doing so enabled these clients to ensure the best resolution of their tax determination to propel future business and personal success.
Peter brings tremendous experience about tax law to the team. In his role at Brotman Law, he works tirelessly with clients to provide guidance through compliance, advocacy and other matters. Peter’s desire to help them achieve their goals and protect their businesses comes through in everything he does.
Outside of the office, Peter enjoys spending time exploring Los Angeles with his family. An avid reader, he is always looking for more to learn and the next interesting story.
